Arabian Knights

The Arabian Knights Unit is the Horse Patrol of Arabia Shrine Center. We are the place for equestrian enthusiasts.

Among our members are ropers, reiners, cutters, trailriders, team penners, ranchers, trainers, and pleasure riders. We also have members that don’t even ride but really enjoy the activities, events, and camaraderie that all horse lovers appreciate.

Our Unit is a precision drill team on horseback. The fourteen riders perform intricate maneuvers while loping, trotting, and walking with choreographed music playing in the background. The riders are outfitted in colorful western attire and proudly wear the fez in all public appearances. The horses look fancy too, but we don’t let them wear a fez.

The Knights participate in parades, statewide competition, national competition, and special performances such as the opening act for rodeos. The crown jewel of our activities is the annual Arabian Knights Trailride, Cook-Off, and Concert. We sponsor and conduct this event for the exclusive benefit of our great philanthropy, Shriners Hospitals for Children. Over the years we have donated many thousands of dollars to provide care for burned and crippled children. Our motto is, "We Ride So Children May Walk".

Our Unit meets the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30 pm in the Gold Room at the Arabia Shrine Center. You and your lady are always welcome to attend as our guests, so ya’ll come on out and meet all our bowlegged Shriners.
